Starting 6th Grade

My little guy started 6th grade today. I can't believe he is that old already. I can't believe I'M that old already!! It was just yesterday that I brought him home from the hospital. I remember my first day of 6th grade. I was scared to death. Landon was a little nervous, but excited as well. I hope he has a wonderful experience at middle school (junior high). He is growing into a fine young man.

Poor Schottzi

"I got holes in my ears!"

Mireya decided she finally wanted to get holes in her ears..so Saturday was the big day. She was sooo brave..just a few tears fell, but as soon as she saw them in the mirror, and sucked on the lollipop, she was a happy camper. She asked if she could pick out a pair of earrings, and she wanted 3 inch HOT PINK feather ones. WooHoo!! My 80's gal!! I got her talked down to small hoops, so she is eagerly awaiting Halloween so that she can put them in!!

Released from Young Women's

So last Sunday I had to work. As I was sitting there with one of our patients (nearing the end of his life), my work cell rings. It is Dave and I figured it must be URGENT or else he would have left me a message on my personal cell. He hands the phone to the 2nd Counselor, wherein I was released and called into the Primary... How hilarious is that?!?!? Must say it was the most intriguing way I have been asked!! So, now I am the 2nd counselor in the Primary Presidency. I am very sad to leave the young women that I worked with, but am excited for this new adventure. I now will get to see Mireya in action every Sunday!!

Topsail Beach, North Carolina

After a few days in Charleston, we met up with Merrill and Cami and some of their friends at a beach house. What beautiful weather we had. This is the view from our 4th floor room and the last beauty is Missy Neah..my most cutest niece. Don't ya just wanna eat her cheeks. Oh, she is CUTE!!

Navy Memorial in Charleston

You should see all the pictures I took of those beautiful flags...I just love the American Flag...(it's all over my house). Thankfully, I only posted one for you. :)

Navy Memorial in Charleston

Dave was a Submariner for 10 years...some of the best in his life. He was GREAT at what he did. Dave left this Port when it was closed down. They are in the process of building a beautiful memorial. I was really glad we made it down there to see it..
For those of you who know me, know I have a special place in my heart for the good 'ol USA. I love our country. I am forever thankful to those men and women who made our freedom possible. Thank you to past, present, and future military men and women. The Statues are named "The Homecoming" and "The Lone Sailor"...

Carolinas Continued..

More Mansions on The Battery..it is breathtakingly beautiful. It would be HARD to live there...

North and South Carolina

Dear Blog,
Sorry I have neglected you, and sorry to friends and family who have given up on me. Was just going to can it but started looking thru my pictures and decided that wasn't an option. Dave and I had the most amazing opportunity to go back east in May for Merrill's Ungraduation. :o) Enjoy!!!
The first two pictures are of the mansions on the Battery in Charleston, SC. The next is of a slave house on Magnolia Plantation. The one after is of the Magnolia Mansion, and the last is the famous Duke Chapel. GO Tarheels...jk Merrill. Duke Rules!!

The Big E-L-E-V-E-N !!

No, not Schottzy's Birthday..I still have to figure out how to do this stuff. So..the pictures of Landon are at the bottom... sorry Landon!! I can't believe my little guy is 11 !! Nearly a teenager...aaaahhhh. He is such a nature lover. He wanted some really cool fossils for his birthday. I was lucky enough to be home before his birthday and got to go visit my high school biology teacher and get some fun things. Happy Birthday Landon!! I love you forever!!

Landon's Arrow of Light

Landon was able to get his Arrow of Light before he turned the big 11.. and none to soon!! I can't believe how old he is getting. What a fun boy he is to have around. He is developing quite the sense of humor. He is an 11 yr old scout now and is participating in Merit Badge Madness during the month of March. On Thursday, the 12th, the scouts were working on their swimming. Landon was 1of the 5 boys out of 25 who could complete the 100 yard swim without stopping!! WAY TO GO LANDON!!!
